Technical Round Table Event – Energy Efficiency and Cannabis Cultivation Facilities

Cannabis cultivation in Massachusetts is projected to be a $700-million - $1.38 billion business by 2020, with hundreds of facilities seeking state licensure.  These facilities have very intensive energy use requirements – cannabis facility energy use is similar to data centers, at nearly 200w/sf making up 20% of operating costs.   In 2015, Bloomberg estimated that cannabis cultivation facilities made up almost 45% of the new power demand in Colorado.

AEE New England Offers CEM Training Course

AEE is offering to its membership and the public, the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) training course and certification examination.
