Energy economics and the environmental landscape have evolved fairly rapidly over the past five to ten years but New England is also just now feeling the shock of unprecedented energy rate hikes.  Those seeking to mitigate these dramatic cost increases are looking at deep energy retrofits, on-site generation and energy efficiency with fresh eyes.  Even as utility rebates for previously standard energy efficiency dwindle, the Inflation Reduction Act, along with the increased energy rates, Federal tax credits and stunning levels of electrification and renewable power generation incentives are flowing from all directions, shaking up energy project economic analysis.  This month, the NE Association of Energy Engineers is providing a session that discusses Energy Savings Performance Contracts (“ESPC”), Energy as a Service options (“EaaS”), Power Purchase Agreements (“PPA”) and Energy Services Agreements (“ESA”) and how the coming incentives might work into those models to help mitigate costs while leveraging those rate increases to some benefit.  With all these considerations, the time to consider these models has never been better.

Please join Regina Durga and Chris Pimentel from Centrica Business Solutions, Rich Costello, President of Acela Energy Group and Kelly Kaufmann from Metrus Energy to explore the dramatic changes we’re experiencing in our region and what they’re making possible.
