A collaborative project by Consigli Construction and DN Tanks, this facility features an insulated, atmospheric tank that stores liquid chilled water, showcasing the latest in thermal energy storage technology.

In addition to the tour, this event will provide networking opportunities and dinner, followed by a presentation from the UNH energy and utilities team where they will share insights on the new facility and other ongoing energy efficiency projects on campus. The AEE New England Chapter will also be announcing scholarship awards for the 2024-25 academic year.

Don’t miss this opportunity to connect and learn about innovative energy solutions!

Agenda:

  • Thermal Energy Storage Facility Tour: arrive by 5:15pm; tour departs at 5:30pm
  • Networking & Dinner: 6-7pm
  • Scholarship Award Announcement: 7pm
  • Thermal energy storage presentation: 7-8pm

Adam Kohler, Executive Director of Energy & Utilities at UNH and guest speakers, will share their experience and lessons learned from the implementation of their new thermal energy storage system. Adam Kohler is certified by the PUC as an Independent Monitor for Thermal Renewable Energy Credits (TRECs). Adam previously served as the Campus Energy Manager for UNH and has over a decade of experience designing HVAC and DDC systems.

Getting there:

The tour will depart from Kingsbury Hall, where the dinner and presentation will be held. Please plan to arrive by 5:15pm to have time to drop off anything you don't want to carry on the tour. The closest paid parking is available at the College Road Lot and should have plenty of parking this time of day. Campus Crossing is a longer walk but will reliably have spots. Please see the visitor parking guide and campus map for more details.
