Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) is the world’s largest and leading private fusion company. The company’s marquee fusion project, SPARC, will generate net energy, paving the way for limitless carbon-free energy. The company has raised almost $3 billion in capital since it was founded in 2018. With top talent in science and engineering backed by the world's leading investors in breakthrough energy technologies, CFS is uniquely positioned to deliver commercial fusion energy to the world’s power grids as soon as possible.

The tour will begin with an overview of fusion energy and its history, followed by an introduction to CFS and our unique approach to achieving fusion. Guests will visit the CFS advanced manufacturing facility, where the world’s most powerful fusion magnets are built, and then proceed to the 100 MW-thermal SPARC pilot plant—the first fusion machine designed to repeatedly produce net energy from fusion in sustained pulses.

Attendees will also hear from Ben Byboth, Director of Power Business Development and Strategy, who will share CFS’s vision for scalable fusion deployment and its role in the future energy landscape. Before joining CFS, Byboth held pivotal roles at major electric utilities - as Director of Grid Modernization at Eversource Energy, and innovation leader at Entergy's KeyString Labs. His experience in nuclear power plant operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership includes eight years with the US Navy on submarines and eight years with commercial power plants.

After the tour, we will convene at Sterling Street Brewery for drinks, appetizers, and networking. All event registrations include two free drink ticket and light appetizers.

Space is limited for the CFS tour and this event is sure to sell out fast, so don't wait to sign up! Registration closes at 5pm on October 30th.
