Join CWEEL New England for an unforgettable evening at the Waterworks Museum! Nestled in the scenic Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Boston, this museum is a monument to innovation, resilience, and the engineering marvels that helped shape a growing city.
In the 1880s, Boston faced a challenge: a booming population and a water system that couldn’t keep up. The solution? A cutting-edge pumping station built right beside the Chestnut Hill Reservoir. Though no longer connected to the High Service Station pumps, the Chestnut Hill Reservoir is still used as a back-up source of water in case of emergencies.
The tour of the Waterworks Museum will start promptly at 4pm and will be followed by networking over light refreshments at 5-6pm.
Getting there:

- From the Cleveland Circle (Green Line C) or Reservoir (Green Line D) Stations, walk up Beacon Street for about 10 minutes. You will see a brown and tan stone building with a tall square tower.

- The Museum has on-site parking available, limited to roughly 20 spaces adjacent to the building. You can park in any spot on-site that is designated as “Museum Parking.”

CWEEL provides career development for professional women aspiring to leadership roles and mentorship for women pursuing technical education and careers in the energy and environmental fields.
