 The Association of Energy Engineers New England Chapter has nearly 100 active members within the State of Maine.  We have received several requests to have meetings and events outside of the Massachusetts area where our current chapter meetings are typically held.  

In an effort to meet the needs of our members and capture new opportunities in Maine we have decided to host an Energy Outlook Forum.  This forum is designed to educate our members about new energy-industry events and opportunities. 

The Energy Outlook Forum will focus on a new and burgeoning natural gas supply opportunities in the state of Maine.  Currently, there are only a handful of communities that can take advantage of the declining cost of natural gas within the state of Maine but that is changing rapidly.  The existing distribution companies are expanding their offerings to the communities that are nearby to their existing territories and new companies are entering the market.  In some cases, natural gas can be delivered for almost 50% of the cost (per btu) of #2 oil.  Previously, the competition for oil was limited to propane and biomass fuels.  The expanding natural gas infrastructure is expected to change the market. 

Come learn about this evolving market and see where you can participate.  We plan to cover: 

• Governor LePage’s development goals for creating lower energy supply cost opportunities for the people of Maine.
• The areas targeted for infrastructure upgrades by gas suppliers. 
• Alternative distribution methods to obtaining natural gas services.      
• New programs and offerings by Efficiency Maine. 
• Natural gas not only has the advantage of a lower cost per btu; it can also open opportunities for advanced combustion technologies, thereby creating additional savings.

The vast majority of the United States has already taken advantage of the opportunities in natural gas.  Now, it is Maine’s turn!

All sales are final. Refunds must be requested 5 days prior to an event in writing or by email for a full refund. Refund requests occuring less than 5 days prior to an event will be handled on a case-by-case basis.  Credits may be issued to be used for future event registrations.  We do not refund "no-shows".
